Advent - Days 9 - 11

Day 9
Again, an evening meeting for me precluded some big activity, so I kept it simple for us. We read Luke 1:11-25 and discussed, "If you were suddenly unable to speak like Zacharias, how would you let people know what you wanted? How would you tell people how you feel or that you love them?" It was fun to hear Pants' answers ranging from "sign language" to "look at my face"

We cuddled up on the couch and watched Rudolph and the Red Nosed Reindeer.

Day 10
Our reading today continued with Luke 1: 26-28 We talked over breakfast about "What is your favorite Christmas carol and why?" Jingle Bells was her answer. She's playing it on her violin so I'm not surprised. We have been listening to Christmas music since Thanksgiving. I love hearing her sweet voice as she belts out the carols in the car.

Charlie Brown Christmas was on this night as was the new show, Prep and Landing. Another low-key night on the couch.

Day 11
This mornings reading was John 1:1-9

And... Bumpa came today! These were the questions: "What does our family do to prepare for special guests? If you knew that Jesus was one of our guests would we do anything differently? Would we do more or less? How could we prepare for unexpected guests?"

And with the Jedi Lefse Master's arrival... let the lefse-bake commence! If you are in town, the flour will be flying on Friday afternoon and all day Saturday. We'll have lefse, herring, adult beverages, krumkake, julekake... the works. Would love to see you.
